PayPal Express vs. PayPal Pro

Both PayPal Express and Pro provide a means to process donations via credit card and utilize all of the features Giving Impact provides as part of the donor experience. There are a variety of notable differences between the two offerings. The following table highlights some key differences as they relate to Giving Impact.

Payment	Express requires that a donor must have a PayPal account. If the donor does not have an account, the payment screen will walk the donor through setting one up quickly and easily. Donor can then use any of PayPal’s accepted methods of payment including major credit cards.	Our PayPal Pro implementation is credit card only (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) and no PayPal account is required or asked for.
Donation Experience	Donor must make the transaction through PayPal directly through a streamlined process. Donor clicks the donate button and a new window opens. After entering the donation amount, the donor is taken to a PayPal page where he/she logs in or creates an account. Donor then completes the payment through PayPal and is automatically taken back to the Giving Impact thank you and share page.	The donation experience is a completely seamless and streamlined process. Donor clicks the donation button and a modal window opens. After entering the donation amount, the donor is taken to a similarly branded page to enter billing information. Upon completion of the transaction, donor is taken to the thank you and share page.
